CORA 2010
From the Commodore
First of all I want to thank all of the previous Commodores and their Boards for the tireless efforts in producing what has become one of the premier organizations dedicated to the sport of sailing. CORA has great deal of members that have competed, challenged and won in many events locally, regionally and nationally. These results are in part to the competition provided by the boats, skippers, crew and race management provided by and for CORA. It is a large task to keep these events on track, but we have a great new board committed to maintaining the quality of racing and social gatherings we have all come to expect.
We have many fun and exciting new ideas and plans for the future thanks to the input from the resurrected Long Range Planning Committee. These plans should appeal to and encourage increased participation for Skippers/Crew Members while additionally increasing exposure and attention to our sport.
The Website is continuing to undergo a ‘facelift’ to improve our means of communication and scheduling of events as well as providing a better means of connecting the membership.
The Offshore Challenge Series will include three ‘destination style’ events this year and Charleston Race Week is shaping up to be our biggest and best ever!
Above all else, CORA is committed to serving you as our customer and along with that we are open to all comments to continually analyze and improve the quality of our Organization. Feel free to email me directly with any concerns you may have.
Hope to see you all Thursday, December 17 at the Annual Christmas Party.
Eddie
