The CORA Offshore Challenge Series was initiated in 2006 to allow CORA sailors to demonstrate their expertise in offshore ocean racing, including navigation, safety, crew management, race strategy and tactics. The 2024 Offshore Challenge Series is sponsored by Ashley Yachts.

- February 13: Offshore Challenge Skipper's Meeting
- March 9-10: Sheriffs Cup to Rockville and return (counts as two races)
- March 23: Spring Ocean Race
- May 17-18: Savannah Cup
- June 21-22: Summer Sailstice Offshore
- August 23-24: Indigo Cup
- October 5-6: Alice Cup to Rockville and return (counts as two races)
- November 2: JIYC Centennial Cup - Fall Ocean Race
Offshore racers are encourage to take an appropriate Safety at Sea Course
